On Tuesday 6th October, Neil Parish MP took part in a panel, hosted by the Woodland Trust, at Conservative Party Conference to discuss natural capital.
Natural capital is the world’s stock of natural assets. The Woodland Trust does an incredible job in protecting the UK’s ancient woodland to ensure that we can all enjoy the woods and trees and natural landscape of this beautiful country. This is something, as discussed on the panel, that is not quantifiable.
Speaking about the event Neil said, “I was delighted to be able to take part in the lively discussion. I believe that we need to strike a balance between enjoyment of the land and use of the land, and the Woodland Trust do an excellent job in protecting the vast amount of natural capital that is available in the UK.”
