Read Neil's acceptance speech at the count after last week's General Election.I would like to thank everyone who voted for me in the recent General Election when I was elected to be the Conservative Member of Parliament representing the Tiverton & Honiton constituency. I will always represent the interests of all people in the constituency, regardless of whether they voted for me or not, to the best of my ability. My thanks to the returning officer for conducting a faultless operation at polling stations, his staff for their professionalism often under great pressure, due to the high turnout, the police for their presence at the count and my own election team who did all I could have asked for during the campaign. I would also pay tribute to the other candidates who stood for election in this constituency, who were excellent ambassadors for their respective parties. Last and by no means least I would like to thank my wife Sue, my children Jonathan and Harriet, family and friends for their unstinting support during this campaign.
