Over the next six weeks, you will be seeing a bit less of me in Parliament and around Tiverton and Honiton. That’s because I am having a hip replacement operation next week.
In the last few years, I have had increasing difficulty with my right hip. A full replacement operation has now become necessary to improve my mobility and ease my current discomfort when walking and standing.
The operation will require a recovery period of around six weeks so I will be recovering at home in the West Country over the Christmas period and the month of January.
I very much hope to be back and fighting fit in February. My office will still be operating during my recovery so, if constituents have any questions or require any assistance, they should not hesitate to get in touch in the usual way.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and I look forward to get back doing the job I love next year.
