Neil was honoured to receive an award from Dairy UK for his support of British dairy farmers and the wider industry.
Neil was recognised as a 'Dairy Champion' at the Dairy UK annual dinner in London, along with Heather Wheeler (Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Dairy) and Catherine Collins (Fellow of The British Dietetic Association).
Before becoming involved in politics, Neil was a dairy farmer in the South West and frequently raises the plight of dairy farmers in Parliament through his work as Chair of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (EFRA) Select Committee and former chairmanship of the APPG.
“As a former dairy farmer myself I am a proud supporter of our British dairy industry and a strong believer that we must work together to reach our goals. I am optimistic about the industry’s future and proud to be a part of it.”
