On Monday 25 March, Neil Parish MP asked the Defence Minister what he was doing to support local, high-skilled jobs.
Neil highlighted that leading defence specialist and local business, Supacat, has to offset jobs when it wins a contract in another country. Yet, when a company based in another country wins a defence contract in the UK, our Government does not require that company to provide jobs here.
Speaking afterwards Neil said: "I was pleased to be able to raise the concerns of Supacat directly with the Defence Minister. It was reassuring to hear that the Minister would meet with Supacat and I look forward to continuing our discussion then."
