Neil welcomed 22-year-old Archie Stoke-Faiers to Parliament to congratulate him on being chosen to represent the UK in architectural stonemasonary at the Skills Olympics 2017.
Archie, who comes from Uplyme, was selected as a member of Team UK after excelling in the WorldSkills UK National Finals. The Skills Olympics in Abu Dhabi later this year will see the most talented young people from across the globe go for gold in 51 skills competitions.
Neil applauded Archie as effectively the best young stonemason in the UK and a tribute to the West Country. He said:
"It was a pleasure to welcome Archie to Parliament. It's great to see a young person from our area with world class skills in a profession like stone-masonary."
"I wish him the best of luck at the Skills Olympics in Abu Dhabi."
