Neil sponsored the Dogs Trust 125 year anniversary reception in Parliament and praised their proud record of championing animal welfare issues.
Since being founded in 1891 as the National Canine Defence League, Dogs Trust has looked for practical and legal means to promote canine welfare. They also run 21 re-homing centres all across the UK for stray and abandoned dogs.
"It was a privilege to sponsor this event for the Dogs Trust. They do fantastic work caring for our dogs and helping to ensure the best possible animal welfare standards".
"Many of Dogs Trust's latest animal welfare recommendations chime with the EFRA Select Committee's recent report on the welfare of domestic pets. I wish them continued success and an excellent next 125 years!"
