During Questions to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Neil Parish MP welcomed introductions of new powers for the Groceries Code Adjudicator and called for more to be done to ensure retailers treat dairy farmers fairly. Neil is also chairman of the Dairy All-Party Parliamentary Group.

Neil Parish calls for debate on the price of oil

Neil Parish MP used Business Questions to call for a debate on whether energy companies are passing on the drop in crude oil prices to their customers, particularly in the heating oil market.

Neil Parish MP debates UK's foreign policy towards Iran

 Neil Parish MP spoke in a debate discussing the UK’s foreign policy towards the Islamic Republic of Iran. In his speech Neil Parish highlighted Iran’s appalling human rights records and its sponsorship of terrorism as two factors that must be considered when judging whether President Rouhani can be trusted to abide by any agreement on Iran’s Nuclear Programme. Neil Parish, who is Treasurer of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on the Bahá’í Faith, also raised issue of the widespread persecution of Bahá’ís in Iran. 

National Pollinator Strategy

Neil Parish MP raises the possibility of growing more bee-friendly crops to help promote bee numbers during a debate on the National Pollinator Strategy. 

Summer Recess Adjournment Debate

Neil Parish MP, speaking in the Summer Recess Adjournment Debate in the House of Commons, raised the matter of improvements to the A303/A30, rural broadband in Devon and beef and lamb livestock prices.
