Neil Parish Calls for Greater Support for Dairy Industry

Neil Parish MP has written to Mr Phil Hogan, European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, following the Dairy All-Party Parliamentary Group’s (APPG) final evidence session on the 14th January which examined the EU Milk Package and how to manage price volatility. In his letter, written as Chairman of the Dairy APPG, Neil Parish MP urges the Commissioner to activate intervention mechanisms to take dairy products off the British market and so lever prices up.

Defra Questions

During Questions to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Neil Parish MP welcomed introductions of new powers for the Groceries Code Adjudicator and called for more to be done to ensure retailers treat dairy farmers fairly. Neil is also chairman of the Dairy All-Party Parliamentary Group.

Neil Parish MP signs Holocaust Educational Trust Book of Commitment

Tiverton and Honiton MP Neil Parish has signed the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment, in doing so pledging his commitment to Holocaust Memorial Day and honouring those who were murdered during the Holocaust as well as paying tribute to the extraordinary Holocaust survivors who work tirelessly to educate young people.
