Neil Parish MP is working with the RSPCA to help improve animal welfare in Devon

Tiverton and Honiton MP Neil hosted the RSPCA annual reception at the House of Commons on Tuesday 17th June. Neil Parish, who is also Chairman of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee, met with RSPCA inspectors, as well as members of the police and representatives from local authorities.

Neil Parish MP, speaking in Westminster Hall debate on Iran and the proposed nuclear deal, expressed his concerns over the ability of the international community to enforce Iranian compliance with the terms of the provisional agreement.

Neil Parish MP walked the Guide Dogs Walk of Fame

Mr Neil Parish MP was given a star on Guide Dogs’ pavement parking Walk of Fame for supporting the charity’s campaign to stop cars parking on pavements. The MP for Tiverton and Honiton attended Guide Dogs’ event at the Houses of Parliament on the 10th of June in support of their campaign. The charity wants people living with sight loss to feel confident and independent when they are out and about, and believes that vehicles parked on pavements put people living with sight loss in danger.

Neil Parish MP supports Sea Change for marine animals at Parliament

As part of World Animal Protection’s Sea Change Week (4 -11th June) the international charity was at Westminster encouraging MPs to take action for marine animals. Tiverton and Honiton MP Neil Parish joined the campaign, which aims to end the devastating impact of ghost fishing gear on marine mammals and wildlife.

Neil Parish MP, Member of Parliament for Tiverton and Honiton, has been elected as the new Treasurer of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Rural Services for the forthcoming year at the Annual General Meeting.
