Neil took part in a debate on Tree Planting in the UK to highlight the benefits of increasing the acreage of British forests and woodlands. He called for higher tree planting rates to improve our environment, mitigate flood risk and promote our economy.
On 30th November, a group of MPs and peers visited Veolia’s integrated recycling facility, off the Old Kent Road in Southwark, London. The visit was organised by the All-Party Parliamentary Sustainable Resource Group (APSRG).
Neil intervened on the Animal Welfare Minister, George Eustice, in a Parliamentary debate to call for compulsory cameras for the slaughter of horses. This measure would help to improve animal welfare and uncover examples of abuse.
