Southwark Recycling Plant

On 30th November, a group of MPs and peers visited Veolia’s integrated recycling facility, off the Old Kent Road in Southwark, London. The visit was organised by the All-Party Parliamentary Sustainable Resource Group (APSRG).

Dogs Trust Anniversary Reception

Neil sponsored the Dogs Trust 125 year anniversary reception in Parliament and praised their proud record of championing animal welfare issues.

Pressing for CCTV in Slaughterhouses

Neil intervened on the Animal Welfare Minister, George Eustice, in a Parliamentary debate to call for compulsory cameras for the slaughter of horses. This measure would help to improve animal welfare and uncover examples of abuse.

Better broadband for the South West

Neil quizzed the Chancellor, Philip Hammond, on better broadband for the South West. He called for greater separation between BT and Openreach and proper competition in the broadband market.

Air Quality Speech

Neil delivered the keynote address at Policy-UK Forum's event on Improving Air Quality in Our Towns and Cities.

Road Safety Campagin

Neil backed the charity, Brake's, road safety campaign, in Parliament. The campaign - Brake Pledge - aims for safer and cleaner streets.

Hurly Burly Nursery in Tiverton

Neil visited the Hurly Burly nursery in Tiverton to see one of the town's newest childcare facilities. The nursery opened in January after the closure of Kingfishers nursery.
